Terms of service and privacy policy
The same agreement, written twice: once in human English on this page, and once in formal language for our lawyers. If the two ever conflict, the human version is what we will honour.

Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, browsing as a guest, or using any feature of My Free Dating Sites, you agree to the terms on this page. If anything here does not sit right with you, please do not use the platform - and reach out so we can understand why. We update these terms rarely, and when we do, active members receive a plain-language summary by email at least fourteen days before the changes take effect.
These terms form a legal agreement between you and My Free Dating Sites, operating in the United States. Using the site means you have read this page, you understand it, and you accept it on your own behalf.
Eligibility - adults 18 and over only
You must be at least eighteen years old to join. This is non-negotiable. During registration we ask for a date of birth, and we use age-verification checks to flag suspicious accounts. If we reasonably suspect a member is under eighteen, the account is suspended immediately and permanently deleted after review.
You must also be legally permitted to use an online dating service in your country or state of residence. If local law prohibits the community we offer - on grounds of orientation, identity, or otherwise - please weigh the risks carefully and consult our safety and privacy guidance before creating an account.
User conduct and content rules
We are a size-positive, judgment-free community. The rules below keep it that way. Breaking any of them can result in content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent account closure depending on severity.
-
No shaming or mockery of body, size, or identity
Size-based humiliation outside opt-in kink spaces, transphobic or homophobic remarks, racial slurs, and fat-shaming are removed on first report.
-
No minors, no minor content, ever
Any depiction, description, or request involving anyone under eighteen results in immediate permanent ban and a report to the relevant authorities.
-
No harassment, stalking, or coercion
Repeated unwanted contact, threats, sharing private messages outside the platform, and pressuring for photos or meetings are grounds for removal.
-
No scams, solicitation, or commercial spam
Escort advertising, crypto schemes, off-platform monetisation, and bot-driven outreach are removed automatically and manually.
-
No impersonation or deceptive profiles
Profiles must reflect a real person with consent to be represented. Photos belonging to someone else are grounds for removal.
-
No explicit content in public-facing areas
Profile photos and public bio text must remain non-explicit. Intimate exchanges belong in private, consensual conversations between adults.
Account termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. It takes one click, a confirmation step, and the account is deactivated immediately. We can also terminate an account without notice if we find serious breaches of the conduct rules above, repeated policy violations, suspected fraud, or legal risk to other members.
If your account is terminated by us, you will receive an email explaining why and outlining any appeal path. Appeals are reviewed by a human moderator, not an algorithm, and we aim to respond within seventy-two hours.
Data we collect and why
We collect the minimum data needed to run a safe, functional dating platform. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or third-party marketers - full stop.
- Account basics: email address, date of birth, pseudonym, and hashed password. Required to create and secure the account.
- Profile content: your bio, confidence tags, approximate city, and optional photos. You choose what to share and can edit or remove it at any time.
- Messages and media: stored encrypted at rest with AES-256 and transmitted over TLS. Read only by you and the member you are messaging.
- Approximate location: derived from IP at signup to a city-level radius. We never store or display exact GPS coordinates.
- Device and log data: browser type, operating system, and anonymised access logs retained for security and fraud prevention.
- Payment data (optional members only): processed by a PCI-DSS compliant provider. We never see or store full card numbers.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of first-party cookies for authentication, session management, theme preference, and anonymised analytics. We do not run third-party ad tracking, social media pixels, or cross-site behavioural tracking on any logged-in page. Analytics are aggregated and stripped of personally identifiable information before processing.
You can reject non-essential cookies at first visit via the cookie banner and update that choice at any time from Settings → Privacy. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not restrict any feature of the platform.
Your GDPR and CCPA rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act, every member on this platform has the same core set of rights - regardless of where you live. We honour them equally.
- Right to access: request a complete copy of the personal data we hold on you, including metadata, behavioural data, and any third-party sharing records.
- Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data at any time from your profile or by emailing our privacy team.
- Right to erasure: delete your account and associated data permanently, with verification completed within thirty days.
- Right to restrict processing: pause specific uses of your data while a dispute or correction is resolved.
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format you can take elsewhere.
- Right to object: opt out of any processing not strictly required to deliver the service you signed up for.
- Right to non-discrimination (CCPA): exercising your rights will never reduce the quality, speed, or features of your experience.
- Right to complain: file a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority in Europe, or the California Attorney General in CA, if you believe we have fallen short.
Data retention and deletion process
We keep your data only as long as your account is active, and not a day longer after you decide to leave. When you delete your account, the following schedule applies:
- Immediately: your profile is removed from search, browsing, and all public-facing areas. Other members see a blank placeholder in place of past messages.
- Within thirty days: all profile content, photos, messages, and metadata are permanently erased from our active systems.
- Within ninety days: encrypted backups rotate out and the last copies of your data are overwritten. After day ninety there is nothing left to restore.
Two narrow exceptions apply. We retain minimal transaction records for seven years where tax law requires it, and we retain anonymised abuse-report logs indefinitely to protect the community from repeat offenders. Neither record can be used to re-identify a deleted account.
Security standards we apply
We treat your data the way we would want ours treated. That means AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, hashed and salted passwords, optional two-factor authentication, and quarterly third-party security reviews. In the event of a breach affecting personal data, we will notify affected members and the relevant supervisory authority within seventy-two hours of discovery, as GDPR requires.
Read our full technical summary on the Safety & Privacy page, which also covers anonymous browsing, discreet mode, and the reporting tools available inside the app.
Changes to these terms
When we make material changes to this page - anything that alters your rights, our obligations, or how your data is used - active members receive a plain-language email summary at least fourteen days before the new terms take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
If you disagree with a change, you can delete your account before the new terms take effect and your data will be removed on the same thirty-day schedule described above.
